About the Yeshiva

Bet Midrash Ohel Torah was established by Rabbi Yaakov Harari in the summer of 2016 in the growing Sephardic Community of Lakewood, N.J.

Starting with only fourteen students and a staff of two rebbeim, Baruch Hashem the yeshiva has turned into a vibrant community of its own, with a Kollel together with the Bet Midrash and a staff of 21 rabbeim.

ROSH YESHIVA

Our Rabbi's tell us a very clear message about the importance of Torah study. They said not only does the continual existence of the world depend on the constant Torah study, even the amount of Beracha that flows into the world from above is dependent on the constant study of the Jewish nation.

With this in mind Rabbi Yaakov Harari founded the Yeshiva with the mission that every student should feel the importance of their responsibility and be proud of being part of the Chosen Nation who hold up the world.

Meet Our Rabbis

Our hand picked devoted staff of rebbeim consists of talmidei chachamim that learned under the greatest leaders and teachers of our time. Including Rabbi Shmuel Birnbaum ZT"L, Rabbi Simcha Schustal ZT"L, Chacham Yosef Harari Raful Shlita, Rabbi Meir Hershkowitz Shlita, Rabbi Elya Ber Wachtfogel Shlita, Rabbi Avrohom Yehoshua Soloveitchik Shlita, and Rabbi Shlomo Feivel Schustal Shlita amongst others.

Our goal is to give over the proper hashkafa and derech halimud to our students.
